Tuesday: Last Week

This was an Awesome Day.

We had planned to go to The Mission at San Luis Rey, but it was closed.

So we drove to Capistrano, ya know, "The Swallows of Capistrano"  To check out the Mission there.

It was Gorgeous!!

He is so handsome!!

My Dad came with us.
 The grounds Were amazing!

They Had Coy Fish, so Beautiful.

The Weather was nice.
Me and The Baby Bug
And My kids behaved like the little angels I know they are.
Here is Coop Making a Wish in one of the fountains.
But That's not ALL!

After Nap at the Condo we went Boogie boarding!
True to form, Jacks was timid, and Coop was all gung ho!!
 Jacks checking out the Waves
Once Nick explained what to do, he was good to go, and loved it!!
He went again and again.  And got some really good rides on the waves.

It was such a good time!!!
Jacks just played in the sand
After our awesome crazy day, a little bedtime story/cuddle was all we needed.

Plus we decided Coop could DEFINITIVELY go to Legoland!!

Monday: Last Week

Monday was a slow day.
We went to Costco in the morning, back to the Condo for a nap and some pool time,
then we walked the Oceanside Pier.
Did you know it is the longest wooden pier, I think anywhere, but do not quote me!!
Did you also know that if Jacks can see water/ground through the cracks he freaks out. (He will actually freak out on a really shiny floor too.)
So needless to say I had to carry Jack.
 Not good and really painful.
Then after we finished on the pier
Cooper melted down...way down,
sitting on the side of the road screaming down.
He was bad enough that we decided "No Legoland" for Tuesday.
 Oh man that was Ugly.
We decided as a Family, Coop included,
that he could prove to us on Tuesday that he was grown-up enough to go to Legoland on Wednesday.
Then he went to bed. At 7:00.
Here is my Cute Family out on the Pier.

Sunday: Last Week

I didn't mention that my PARENTS got a condo at the same time, so they were there with us and it was awesome!!

We got to go to church in the Oceanside 1st Ward, and apparently it was the day for visitors, cause the Chapel and Overflow were full!

It was a nice meeting, my favorite was when this REALLY OLD POLYNESIAN WOMAN said:  "And Brother ?Clark?, my home teacher, I love your once a year visits".  It was so funny, she said just kidding and the entire congregation cracked up!

There was also a nice couple behind us that helped entertain "The Jack Monster" who, have I mentioned, hates Sacrament Meeting!!

After Sacrament, we went back to the Condo and down to the pool!  It was so chilly!! I have become acclimatized to 100 degree weather, and it didn't top 80 degrees all week.

Then lunch and Nap for Jacks.

Then the BEACH.   Jacks first beach experience,  was nothing like Coops!!(see here)  Jack was NOT a big fan of the water!  But he didn't mind if WE stood Knee deep holding him as long as the water didn't touch him. But he liked the sand.

Cooper was fearless and ran all over in the water, he loves the beach, the waves, the sand, everything!!
Notice him jumping the wave!

This is my mom saving Him.
I was feeling really down at this point because I couldn't go out there with him. Every time a wave came in or went out it would literally sweep my leg, so I had to stay out of the water. I am so grateful my parents were there!  They helped a lot and took some of the "Single functioning" parent weight off of Nick!
 Jack in the Sand
 Jack trying the water.
 Jack being saved by Grandma.
Coop and Nick enjoying the waves!
More to come tomorrow!

Saturday: last week

We ate breakfast at the church for the 24th
 Nick started at 6:00.
We finished at 9:00 and loaded the car to leave for our...week...on...the...BEACH!

But before we got out of town Nick noticed this......

That is a wasp sting from almost two weeks before, not good!

So before we left town we spent an hour at the Instacare, and 20 minutes waiting for his antibiotic, because apparently he is allergic and got a bacterial infection...Stupid Bug!

So then the road trip, 7 hours, one pee break on the side of the road, and One Nail in our Tire later,
( that's right we got a puncture in our tire, but luckily it was a slow leak and we were able to fill it and make the last 30 minutes)
 we arrived in Oceanside California.

More to come from our exciting trip!

6 weeks

In the past 6 weeks we
  Played at the park.
 Played with friends
 Stayed home and played together
Traveled to Roosevelt for the funeral of Nick's Grandpa
 Sat in time-out
 Took naps and watched movies
 Got haircuts
 Ate Ice Cream

In the past 6 weeks I:
Have acquired several long dresses to cover my "Ogre Leg"(seriously my brace is huge)
Have taken so many medications my blood now runs it's own pharmacy
Have gone through a dozen or so bags of ice for my Polar Care machine (so cool)
Completely lost my quad and calf muscle
Had to learn how to build them up again
Have gone to physical therapy a lot
Worked really hard to get 110 degrees of motion in my knee

In the past 6 weeks I have realized:

What a blessing it is to be able to carry my baby to his bed

 I CAN do hard things

Here are some pictures from the past 6 weeks.

Ice Cream Date while Daddy was at Camp

 Coops' last baseball game.
He Did Awesome!!
He hit the ball every At Bat without the tee!
He even fielded a ball and threw it to first base.

Watching Fireworks at Daddy's office for the 4th.
We had a great view and the noise was smothered so no one freaked out.

Playing at the Park

Playing at the park with "Big" Jack.

Eating Popsicles

Apparently Wet = Cold to Cooper, so he had to wear his coat.
It was 90+ degrees.

Playing on the Mall Toys last night
