Summer 2013 Week 5

We had a Crazy Busy week this week.  It was Scout Camp week again, so my neighbors and friends took pity on us and we had a lot of fun activities to do.

Monday we went to the downtown Splash pad with the twins and "Big Jack"
Jacks got the wettest of all the kids and it was so fun to watch him.  here is a video of him watching
Then we all rode the Carousel.

Monday Night we put the Big boys in the "Westside baptist Churchs' Sports Camp"  They got cute t-shirts and they are going to Play T-ball all week.
Tuesday Started out nice and Lazy...Just the way I like it.

Then we went to "School Lunch"  My neighbor was working as a lunch lady this summer and she invited us to the elementary school for lunch.  The Boys all ate really good, then we went to play on the playground. it was HOT!
Wednesday, Daddy left for Camp.  I'm going to be honest and say ..."I Hate Scout Camp".  I hate that Nick has to go EVERY Year.  I hate that he has to use his work time off and that he doesn't get to spend that time with our family.  I am still waiting for these "blessings" to show up.  So far we have gotten a Parking ticket, been abandoned for a week with no transportation at all, had a Car burn down, and been abandoned not being able to walk.  I will just be grateful that nothing happened this year, right? :) ........OK I'm done.
The boys picked ride the Carousel for their activity today.
Jacks insists on riding on the "couch", because he is terrified of the Horses.
Wednesday night we went to some friends house for dinner and a movie.  We jumped  and slid on a old mattress.
Coop and K are always so cute together.
Thursday, I had to drive to the DMV to register our cars.  The DMV is half way to some friends who live out in the boonies so we made a play date of it.  The kids had a lot of fun and there were no fights, and only minor melt downs. :)
On the way home we stopped at In N Out Burger... Yumm
After naps the boys had a hankering for ice Cream, so we called on the Twins and "Big Jack" again, and went out for a tasty/cool treat.  Cooper ended up with quite the beard.
The Boys found some stairs to play on.   We are so grateful that the twins and "Big Jack" are always up for an adventure!
Thursday was also the last day for Sports Camp.  Coop came home each day with all sorts of really cute crafts that proclaimed him a member of "God's team"  All of the Volunteers were great.  Coop and "Big Jack" had so much fun.
Friday morning we went to a Park EARLY, before it got to hot.  We met some friends and had a good time.

After the Park we were so HOT, so we went to the pool.  The little boys had a lot of fun and the bigger kids were fishes. :)
Saturday we went to a Birthday Party at a splash pad.  Once again Jacks got the Wettest.
Here is Jacks sitting innocently.
ON A WATER JET!
He thought it was hilarious!

All in all, a crazy busy week.  I am so grateful to our friends for keeping us busy.  And that Daddy arrived home safe.

Summer 2013 week 4

Monday the boys picked "Movie night with popcorn and treats". They chose "Chicken Run" for the movie and we had popcorn and m n m's.
Tuesday we picked" "Ride the toys at the mall $6"

 This was really fun.
Coop rode more than his share of rides.
Jacks chickened out and just held me the whole time.
When they were done, we walked around for a bit and sat and watched " Over the Hedge" on the TV in Sears.
During nap we had some visitors, while their mom did some moving back into their new/old house. I worked out in the garage on some pottery. Head over to my pottery blog to see what I am working on.

Wednesday we got a surprise offer to go to the park and play, so after the "big" boys helped pick weeds outside.
We went to the park for almost 2 hours. It was hot, but there was a nice breeze.

Then after naps....physical therapy. Jacks has some sweet moves on the equipment. My physical therapist has been very kind in letting me bring my boys to sessions, so I don't have to pay for a babysitter twice a week.
Tonight Jacks stuck a broken off screw head up his nose, I frantically called Nick at work, then Jacks, very trustingly allowed me to put my tweezers up his nose, he cried and cried, but he didn't fight me. I could see his nose swelling closed around the screw and the blood from where the sharp broken end had cut his little nose. :(. Then I was able to grab the end and pull it out.....thank goodness.
Thursday the boys were horribly crabby, so we didn't pick an activity, then Jacks did this..
With my lotion,
So I put him straight to bed without lunch and he slept for 3 hours.
During nap Coop was invited to go swimming at our pool, when jacks woke up we went too.
It took Jacks awhile to get comfortable, but then he had lots of fun.
This is Sams awesome Rat tail.
Friday, another hard start to the day.
Cooper would not get dressed and Jacks screeched all morning.
Finally we calmed down, and picked Jumping Jacks as our summer activity...
turned out to be a debacle,
my coupon didn't work, so it was $14
and jacks wouldn't play at all,
coop played for a few minutes,
but then only wanted to sit on the video games...
So we stayed for a whopping half and hour. Then home for lunch and naps.
Then Nick and I went out to Superman. Which was pretty good. Next week Nick is going to Boy Scout Camp....we will see how that goes.

Summer 2013 week 3

This week I started our summer schedule.

I have a chart for Coopers homework, and the boys both have chores to do in the morning.

When they get the chores done they get to pick an activity out of a baggie.

There are a lot of different activities and this week they picked:

Monday: red box, with treats, and a guest. We rented Escape from Planet Earth.

Tuesday: ride on the carousel. The carousel was closed, so we went out for ice cream. and Cooper trimmed his "Grass Man"

Wednesday: I had a Dr's appointments, and physical therapy, so chores didn't get done and they were pretty crabby, so no activity.

Thursday: They picked soccer in the backyard, it was a lot of fun.

Friday: we went to the splash pad and hung out with some friends.

Cooper is doing great with his homework, and I love spending one-on- one time with him doing homework each day.

I also got my pottery wheel and sundries all set up in the garage.
