Summer 2013 week 8

Monday:  At The park.
FHE: Bumper Boats....Daddy won!

Tuesday:  trying to figure stuff out for the new school year, vacuuming, and making Car Lines!
Wednesday: We attended an Eagle Scout Ceremony.
Trevor picked Nick as his mentor.  Nick got a pin and everything. I am so proud of the example he is and how hard he works for his scouts.  This video is kind of long, but i wanted to post it anyway, sorry about the small child whining...Mommy, mommy, the whole time.
Thursday, Friday:  Not sure what we did or what was happening in this picture, but that's what I get for waiting for 2 months to post.
Saturday:  We went to a Birthday Party, it was a pool party, so no pictures.

Summer 2013 week 7

Monday, was a tough day, so no pictures, but we did go out on bumper Boats for our activity.

Tuesday, we went swimming.  We had our pool all to ourselves and had a lot of fun.  I wish someone else had been there because my favorite part was when the boys would run and jump to me.  Cooper got Vertical on a couple of his leaps and we had so much fun.
I only missed catching Jacks once.  But I got to him almost immediately.

Wednesday:  We went to the Dinosaur Museum.
Don't let the "Happy Faces" fool you.  They were SOOO bored.  This is not a very exciting Museum, and they were more interested in what they could pick out from the Gift shop.

We did get to make oragami Pteranadon.
Wednesday Night we played with water balloons, for a late Family Home Evening,
Jacks was LIVID after Nick broke a balloon in his face, but then he wanted me to make MORE!!
Then we went out for Family Ice Cream Cones.
Thursday we went to the Carousel, Again.  Coop loves choosing a different Horse every time.
Jacks ALWAYS sits on the couch.....
Like this!  Now that is the way to travel.
After the carousel we went out for HAPPY MEALS.  I am not a huge fan of HAPPY MEALS, and I HATE Play Places, but the boys really wanted Minion Toys.

Friday, we stayed in until after Nap then we went swimming, no pictures this time.

Saturday we got to spend the morning with Daddy at a Farmers Market.  We didn't buy anything...but Sno cones.  These Sno Cones led to multiple tantrums and fits...dumb, so we went home and spent the rest of the day, listening to fits and fighting.

4th of July Camping

After the Movie Friday the 5th, we decided to go Camping, but of course because we did it last minute we ended having to drive for awhile to find a campground that wasn't closed because of fire danger, and because of the extra-long drive... the boys Crashed!

Once again we completely failed in our food packing,  We forgot the dutch ovens and pans, so the boys got hot dogs roasted over the the camp chef, and Nick and I improvised a Tinfoil Dinner, that actually turned out pretty good.

However we had NO breakfast options (except leftover S'mores), so we headed down early...very sad. :(

My only complaint about the trip was my recently potty trained wee-one's FREQUENT trips to the potty in the dark.  Like 7 trips after we put him in bed, but what are we going to say.."I'm sorry Jacks, it is dark, the potty is too far away, so hold it"?... I don't think so, so we took turns.
And of course even in the great outdoors we CANNOT get away from the I-pad.  Heaven forbid we play outside.
 Packing up.
So Handsome, i can't believe he will be starting 1st Grade in a month.

So cute, eating leftover S'mores while we pack up.
 Packing up the tent
It was a really fun, albeit short trip.
We are PLANNING a better camping trip for Labor Day.
Wanna come? :)

Summer 2013 Week 6

This week was HOT, like 110+ every day

Monday, we started the day  EARLY at the park.
I have really enjoyed taking the time Every-day to do something special with my Boys.
We didn't last long at the Park because it was HOT!
But Coop did get in a couple of awesome bike rides.  he hasn't ridden his bike in a couple of weeks, because of the scooter he got for his birthday, he was nervous, but he did awesome.  The scooter has really helped his confidence and his balance.
For Family Home evening tonight we went to The Temple and Visitors Center.  I love spending time on the Temple grounds with my boys.
They are so grown up and such a joy in our life!
Tuesday they Picked "Arcade" for our activity.  cooper used some of his lemonade stand money, and we played a lot of games.

Jacks liked riding the train the best!
 Cooper rode the motorcycle.
 Jacks Sqirted some ducks
 Cooper spun the wheel
And they both made out like bandits, winning a lot of tickets and picking out some fun prizes.
Tuesday night I had some students over for a Goodbye dinner.  These are great kids, and they are trying to make good decisions as they are trying to become Adults.  Kolt is leaving for California to live with his brother this weekend.  I am sad he will be gone, but I am over the Moon proud of him!
Kolt is always such a good sport with my kids.  He lets them rough house with him and he always lets them have fun.
I din't get a good picture of my Skylie, which is unfortunate, cause she is GORGEOUS.  She is also the sweetest most sincere girl on the Planet.  You can see her and her sister holding Baby Jacks in This post
Wednesday, we did a little shopping and went to get Sno-Cones.  Not a huge adventure, but still a nice cool treat.

We spent the rest of the day hiding in the house.  It was so HOT!!!

Thursday THE 4th OF JULY!!
Parades start early around here, so at 8:00 we were ready to get some candy and have some fun!
Ok that is a lie, Jacks was SOOOO crabby and threw tantrum after tantrum until 9:00
Notwithstanding the tantrums, the boys got a lot of treats, and Cooper had fun ;)
We went over to some friends for a BBQ.  We played with water balloons for awhile.
Threw them over the back wall.
Jacks was so excited about each and every balloon.  And his little face was so red....it was HOT!
We did a craft, working on our hand eye developement.
Played outside some more.......
and some more.......
And of course cooled off with some Popsicles.
And had an awesome wrestling match.

We love every second we get to spend with the "S"  family.  They are such a great family, and they love our boys!
Friday:  We started the day with a Movie.  "Despicable Me 2"  It was fun, and my boys were so GOOD.
Here they are checking out the "Live Action Seats", totally freaked Jacks out!
