I just turned sixteen and bought my first car a 1986 Ford Escort for $150. Oh how I miss that car!! Just thinking about it has kind of made me mushy. The friends I miss---Bonnie, Ashley, Chantry, Maren, Jamie, Amy, Aaron, Aaron, Orrin and Morgan.

Things I would do if I suddenly became a billionaire

I would stop worrying about how much houses cost and just pick my favorite. I would pay of my parents debts(since we don't have any) I would buy a car to help facilitate the commute that Nick Cooper and I share. I would pay off my sisters student loans and I would set up a college fund for Cooper. I would fly my Mom down to Babysit so Nick and I could go on an actual date.

Bad Habits

If I start a book I ignore everything around me even if the baby is screaming.
I am to sensitive to the things Nick says sometimes.
I am to blunt with my students and my beehives.

In Retrospect

I just finished my wonderful week off with my beautiful and sweet Baby. I have to say, staying home was easier than I though it would be and I find myself counting down the days until summer!! I love my job and I am so thankful for the opportunities it allows me to be the mom that I am. I am so thankful for my Coop and for his sweet smile and spirit. I love being a Mom. He is the light in my day, Or as our favorite song says "He is my Sunshine". He is why I get up and why I try to become better everyday. I Love you Coopie!!!

Coopers new cousin

So in December my sister Lyssa dropped a big surprise on us. She was 7 months Pregnant and hadn't told anyone!!!
After the initial surprise we got used to the idea of welcoming another little girl to the family. Sage was born Feb 26, 1 day before her due date. That is the longest Lyssa has ever carried and Sage was a woppin' 6lbs+. These are the first pics my Mom was able to send, isn't she a doll!!!!

SPRING BREAK

I have a whole week off. Cooper and I are going to nap and play and walk in the beautiful St. George 70 degree weather and we are going to house shop it will be so nice!!!!

Coopers first shiner

One of the bigger boys at daycare rolled over Cooper and this is his shiner (the slightly purple area over his left eye)
This is only an indication of things to come. The first of many bruises and this one you can't even see!!!



I am trying really hard not to be one of those moms that freaks out every time a child falls over. I worry a lot that I could lose him, but I want him to not be scared. I think it is a fine balance to keep them safe and yet allow them to live free. Which is why we are here anyway.

A Better Mom

So I have been thinking a lot lately about being a working mom. I really do struggle sometimes, but I don't think I could be a better mom even if a stayed home all day. I drop Coopie off at 7:40 and stay til 8. I go back and spend my lunch hour with him from 11 til 12:20ish. I pick him up at 2:45. All told I am only away for 5 and a half hours and when I pick him up I am so excited to spend all afternoon with him. I very rarely get burned out from him, because every minute is a gift. I love being a mom and I hope and pray that every day he knows how much I love him and am thinking of him. Tomorrow he is coming with me to a Art Educators Conference and we are going to have a great time.

Home Sweet Home

Nickolas and i started house shopping this weekend. I am so excited. A house of our very own. It is kind of scary though. Cooper will be 31 years old before we pay off a thirty year mortgage. Today we are going with a Realtor to look at a house AHHHH.
