Bad Guys vs. Super Heroes

Actual Conversation:

Coop: Mommy, strawberry yogurt just fall over.
Me: How did it fall.
Coop: It just fall.
Me Did you do it?
Coop: No, I no do it.
Me: Then who did it?
Coop: (after some thought) Bad Guys do it.

Does that make me a super hero since I cleaned up the "Bad Guys" mess?

Here he is again insisting it was the bad guys!
P.S. How did I survive one entire infancy and the last 7 weeks without one of these???

!!!AWESOME!!!

So nice to have 2 working hands again!!!

AND My wee one was diagnosed with his first ear infection today :(

And Then One Day......

Isn't it amazing?
You give birth to this little squished up thing,
that looks like the majority of all other Caucasian newborns.
He cries, makes you cry.
Your eyes get bloodshot.
Your patience with your 3 year old all but disappears.
And Then One Day
you are fawning over his cute little face while taking millions of pictures and you take a picture. Not just any picture,
a picture where you glimpse
the boy and man he will grow up to be.
And you realize that the sleepless nights WILL end.
And in 20 years or so, this precious son of god will have become the man you can glimpse in his face at 6 weeks old.
ENJOY

Sad Face

This outfit was given to me by my mom. My little brother wore it when he was a baby. so for posterity's sake I took pictures of it.

Here are some pictures of my boys in the same outfit at about the same age. Can you tell who is who??
And seriously why are they crying??

Because the only time they look anything alike is when they cry, and it makes the comparison more fun!! Jacks actually looks nothing like Coop!!

Post edit: The first one is Jacks. And I do have some pics that I took at the same time of him NOT screaming!!

Announcement

If you would like a birth announcement with heart melting pictures of my youngest son, and I don't have your address. Please leave it here.

I will do that blog owner approval thing so the only person able to see it is me!!

Just like newlyweds

I remember the days when Nick and i would look at each other and say "Lets pack up and go somewhere"

I thought those days were over for sure with full time jobs and 2 kids, but alas......
Saturday afternoon the travel bug hit and we loaded up our brood and drove to Bryce Canyon.

The drive was perfectly timed with nap time..SWEET

We stayed at the lodge, looked at stars and took "walks" (I would be lying if I called them "Hikes"
Here is our first family self-portrait A.J. (after jack)

P.S. This is what I did today! Do You Like It???

Fee Free Weekend

I love Fee Free Weekends!!
We took the boys to Zions yesterday.Coop made the walk take a LOOONG time, but it was still nice to get out and about.
My little Spider Monkey. He had so much fun scaling every rock he saw.

The Great Meltdown!!! Coop had fallen from a rock and Jacks was hungry.
Somethings only mamma's can do!!

So Tired, but still loving riding the bus.

Can't wait for fee free in July!! Maybe we will do Bryce!!

Poor little guy!

A double whammy for a boy who hates to be hot and who hates to be naked!!!

Dear Grandma

Thanks for coming to stay with us!!

Please Come Back soon!!!

We love you.

We were so spoiled this last week. My Mom came and stayed with us. My Mom is an amazing woman, who is the BEST grandma around. My only worry is that when Nick goes back to work after Memorial Day, real-life will hit hard when it is truly just me and the boys all day long!

When we decided to get pregnant I was worried (still am) about how i could possibly handle two kids. i worry that Coop will never forgive me for messing up the good thing we had going. One day I was looking through some old stuff and I read the first entry my Mom had written in the journal she kept for me when I was little. It was dated about 2 months before I was born and she expressed some of the same worries I have. Knowing that I am not alone in these fears is such a comfort.

I know the next couple of months while we get used to each other won't be easy, but I am already seeing some of the rewards when I watch how sweet and protective Coop is with "HIS BABY BROTHER".

I am so incredibly grateful for the example of my Mother. When I was pregnant with Coop, I kept thinking that if I could be a good enough Mom, that this baby would love and respect me as much as I love and respect my mom, I will have been successful.

I love you MOM!!!!
